CMI started in 1972 as a one-man operation providing products to the commercial concrete and masonry markets in the Twin Cities metro area.

 We weren’t the first or only distributor of specialty construction products in our area, but from the beginning our mission was to provide better service than any of our competitors. As the company grew and added more employees, more products, and new customers, delivering great service remained the focus and foundation of the business. Today, CMI has evolved into a major supplier to commercial contractors in the metro area. Along the way, we have built our reputation on the fact that we deliver on our promises by offering the best customer experience and satisfaction in the markets we serve.
