MM-80 is a two-part liquid, 100% solids epoxy resin of concrete gray color.
Developed specifically for use as a joint filler in industrial concrete floors subjected to hard-wheeled vehicles such as forklifts.
Prevents joint edges from breaking off (“spalling”) as wheels make contact.
Stocked in: 1 gal. units
When cured, MM-80 is semi-rigid (hard but slightly resilient) with a shore hardness of A-90-95 and D-50-55.
MM-80 Should Be:
Used in control and construction joints, whether saw-cut or formed.
Installed full joint depth in saw-cut control joints and 2” (min.) deep in thru-slab construction joints or joints exceeding 2” in depth. The base of the joint may be “choked off” using a max. 1/8”-1/4” layer of silica sand. DO NOT USE compressible backer rod (Ethafoam, etc.) in joints are less than 2” deep! MM-80 has low-range tensile and adhesive strength. It will not “weld slab sections together,” which can result in “stress cracks.”
MM-80 is acceptable for use in USDA regulated facilities.
